StrangeTown Monty 2.05(B): Grimm Prospects (Part 2)

[UPDATE – April 8 2015]
(1) Someone is fired from Hyde Dynamic…
(2) Two New Polls

Vidcund Curious decides to strike before it’s too late. The investigation continues at Olive Specter’s yard, as the Two Racing Men, Xu and Ivanov, deliver an outsider’s perspective on the situations in STM. Kent Capp gets a flood of memories from 1997, and wonders where Bianca Monty‘s place is in all of that.

If STM 1.10-1.11 are a parody of “possible accusations of Gary Stu”, then 2.05(B) is a parody of “bait and switch”. The audience sees the Racing Men on the screen, but it is the story of the main characters that is advancing at that time.

[STM Analysis: My original plans for the Two Men in the first draft of this episode, and Sims 3 gameplay stories that influenced how I finally constructed these three Racing Men.]

The Capp siblings’ banter is based off a real-life conversation the author had in 1997, the year GTR98 was released.

Clarifications (Do NOT read until you’ve finished watching)
(1) Loner did not park his car on the Smith lot itself, but somewhere nearby.
(2) “Night of Kent’s return” – See STM 1.11.

Compare Bianca’s version of the “1988 Swing Incident” in STM 1.09 with Kent’s version in this episode. [VOTE: Whose version is correct?]
